If you're staying in Belmar...
Since Peter and I both live and spend a ton of time here, we made a short list of our favorite places to venture out to. Main Street and Ocean Avenue have a ton a places to see and eat at, but we have narrowed some great ones down that we love...
10th Ave. Burrito- restaurant and bar - great mexi-cali food that we love! It's not on 1oth ave anymore but they kept the name. It's now located in the Belmar Plaza next to West Marine.
Twisted Tapas- Definitely our favorite! Our friend just happens to own this great establishment and its a BYOB! Great tapas food with several different types of cuisine.
Federico's Pizza- Peter worked here for years! If you need a quick slice or some great Penne Vodka with grilled chicken, this is the place to go! They deliver, order online, and its also a BYOB if you want to sit down and eat. Its located right on the corner of Main street, and is a few steps from the church!
The Anchor Tavern (formally known as Connelly Station) Belmar, NJ - Peter and I met here 4 years ago when it was Connelly Station. Bar and restaurant across from the Beach Haus Brewery on Main Street. outside seating and bar. Located a block from the church. Great Chicken and drink specials!
Stay Gold Lounge- Corner of Main Street and 8th avenue and across the street from the anchor tavern They have great coffee, breakfast and lunch options. Smoothies and more!
Playa Bowls- Great smoothie and Acai bowls located on Ocean Avenue. Highly recommend!!!!
Beach Haus Brewery- Located on Main Street and 8th street If you like to check out breweries, this is nice local place to go that is a block from the church.
Bar Anticipation- Biggest bar in Belmar, day drinks and great food, also great nightlife. Outside patio and Gazebo bar. Cabana seating next to mermaids sitting at the Grotto! A Must go if you have never been!
D'Jais- If you are interested or the type of person who always wondered what its really like, Peter and I would recommend going at 3pm for lunch and drinks and leaving before 5 in order to escape the Bennies that will start to infiltrate. But if you're curious, stay and experience the true benny bar on ocean avenue. A True Belmar experience to see!
